I love gemstones!
I love going gem digging. Out of this, I learned how to cut and polish gemstones. From there it was an easy jump to making quality jewelry from those precious gems. Emeralds are my passion. I live near Spruce Pine N.C., where the now closed Crabtree Emerald Mine is located. I go gem digging there, and from my finds through the old pilings, I select the best color and quality emerald matrix specimens in the world, bar none, and make pendants and earrings out of them. I also wrap other precious stones, because so many people have complimented me on the simplicity of the wraps I do. They are designed to highlight the gemstones I wrap. I wrap with the idea that it's a permanent piece, built strong to last many lifetimes. Emerald in particular has so many stated healing and abundance qualities, I guess that's why I love it so much. You can't stop gazing at that deep, grassy green color that just glows when Beryl is polished. I only use either gold filled wire or solid sterling silver wire, so that these pieces can be polished over and over again over a lifetime of enjoyment. It always makes me feel so good when someone tells me they wear one of my pieces every day! I love it. I love that they love it too. Enjoyment is such a gift.
