Timeless designs
I've been a crafter since my homeschooled childhood in rural Pennsylvania. My mama taught me to quilt and make my own clothes when I was in middle school. (Mostly, I made dresses shorter than the ones she would buy me!) As soon as I learned to write, I loved journaling and assembling notebooks full of favorite poems. My little siblings and I would spend hours inventing entire civilizations and outfitting them with hand-drawn maps, clay models, and cardboard-box houses, palaces, and temples. Over the past decade, I have choreographed for ballet and hip-hop troupes, gone to divinity school, lived and taught in boarding schools in two states, had two babies, and transformed my passion for all things sparkly into a jewelry store on Etsy.
As a mom of two little ones, I've struggled to find the time and space for the big sewing and quilting projects I did in the past. Instead, I've fallen in love with the smaller projects and time-span required for making jewelry. My style is clean and sophisticated. I use only genuine gemstones and precious metals - no glass or crystal - and work hard to make real gems affordable. All pieces are vegan - like me - and I'm pleased to offer up-scale pride jewelry in support of LGBTQ equality.
I usually work curled up in my study, watching the X-Files after my sons are asleep or chatting with my husband, a wire-cutter in one hand and a briolette in the other. I drink lots of coffee, bake lots of vegan cookies, and try to make something beautiful every day.
My shop is by-Etsy, for-Etsy - I buy almost all of my gemstones and supplies from other Etsy sellers. I'm so grateful for the relationships we're building and all the community support! Together, we're making independent artistry work. I believe in Etsy!
