Boy Meets Highchair

My firstborn hated every high chair he ever met, until the day he sat in the IKEA Antilop. We were eating in their cafeteria and we couldn’t believe he didn’t scream bloody murder when we put him in. We bought both the chair and PYTTIG (now called KLÄMMIG) support cushion that day and I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy with a baby product purchase. What’s not to love? The design is clean and modern. It’s lightweight and easy to move or take apart. And it works for a range of ages – fitting both our 2 year old and our 4 month old (with the cushion). Best of all, it’s a fraction of the cost compared to other fashion-forward options.

Of course there was one thing that drove me crazy – I just could not get that tray off! Clean up was annoying since I couldn’t just dump the whole mess in the sink. And then, a lightbulb moment – why not make a placemat that fits exactly on the tray? One that’s FDA food grade approved, dishwasher safe, and comes in fun colors to jazz up your chair.

And while we’re on the topic of colors…those cushions. We love the comfort they provide, but the PYTTIG's bright red and blue stripes don’t exactly go with my décor. So we also created a line of designer fabric covers that fit perfectly on the IKEA cushion.

My husband and I are both small business owners but this is our first joint effort. We are giddy with excitement about this shop. We hope you love our products as much as we do!

RETURNS

We are happy to provide a refund for unused cushion covers or silicone placemats in their original condition/packaging. Shipping charges are never included in a refund. Returns are handled on a case-by-case basis, so please reach out with any questions. Inflatable cushion inserts cannot be returned.

EXCHANGES

Regarding exchanges, you will be responsible for the shipping fees on your exchanged item and any difference in pricing. Please contact us to get the return shipping address. When you mail the original item back, include a note with your name, order number and what item you would like instead. We will send you a payment request if there are additional charges. Your exchange will be processed once we receive your original item.

DAMAGED ITEMS

If there is a problem with your items, please send us a message with a picture of the damaged item. If an exchange is needed, we will send you the new item after the damaged item is returned to us.


Please Note: Canvas art is not available for return. All sales are final. Even if you catch an error after approving the design, I cannot refund the canvas. Please review your proofs carefully.

We accept credit card, debit card, and PayPal payments through Etsy. Please make sure your listed address is correct for shipping.

SHIPPING POLICY

We use USPS to ship. All packages over 2 oz will include tracking. If your order is not showing movement within tracking, please feel free to contact your local post office or call USPS by phone at 1(800) 275-8777. You will need to provide them with your tracking number and the date it was shipped. Please note that First Class Mail does NOT come with insurance. We cannot not replace items that are lost, stolen, or damaged upon delivery. We are also not responsible for packages that were shipped to the wrong address. If you would like your package to be insured, make sure you purchase the priority mail or priority mail express shipping option at checkout.

If your order contains both in-stock items and pre-order items the order will not be shipped until the pre-order items are ready to ship.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

For orders shipped to anywhere outside the United States, any duties and taxes incurred are the responsibility of the recipient and are payable upon receipt of the goods. If your order is not showing movement within tracking, please feel free to contact your local post office or call USPS by phone at 1(800) 275-8777. Once packages leave the United States, there is no way to track them or know how long they will take to arrive at their destinations. Please note that First Class Mail does NOT come with insurance. HOW TO FILE A CLAIM

To file a claim with USPS go to https://www.usps.com/help/claims.htm and click on the domestic tab to file a claim within the United States or the international tab for orders outside of the United States. Then follow the directions as stated.

How do I wash my cushion cover?

Machine wash in cold water on gentle cycle setting. Avoid harsh spot-scrubbing, and use a phosphate-free detergent for longer color life. Tumble dry on a low temperature or permanent press setting.

How do I clean my silicone placemat?

FDA grade silicone is highly resistant to staining, but some things should be wiped fairly soon to avoid staining (like carrots, tomato sauce, red juice, pen ink, etc). To clean, rinse with warm soapy water or place in the top rack of your dishwasher.

I like to put the placemat back on the tray while it's still a little wet then let it dry on there. This trick gives it a little extra stick!

What does the Add-On "Cover + Cushion" mean?

IKEA sells an inflatable cushion called the KLÄMMIG (previously called the PYTTIG) that fits in the Antilop and Blames highchairs. If you already have a cushion, there's no need to get a new one. But if you don't already have a cushion, we make the same inflatable cushion that you can purchase as a $5 add-on. If you select the "Cover Only" option, you will receive the cover but no cushion insert.

What is Kona Ultra Cotton?

We use a high quality fabric called Kona Ultra Cotton, which is a soft, heavier weight cotton with improved wash durability. Our fabric is also designed by indie artists who earn commission from every sale.

How do I care for my footrest?

The bamboo footrest can be cleaned with a damp rag or soap and water as needed.

The o-rings are made to support the weight of your child’s legs when seated in the highchair. If you discover your o-rings are sliding down the legs of the highchair when your child puts their weight on it, slide the rings up, clean the legs of the highchair with a lysol wipe, rubbing alcohol, or your preferred household cleaner. Dry the legs thoroughly and move the o-rings back down. Your o-rings should be secure and resist sliding.
