What a great idea for a simple gift. We live in the U.S. and sent a postcard from Germany to a friend in the U.S. Even though we don't know any German (language), we thought it would be fun to send it with German handwriting, just to add a little suspense. When the card arrived, she had no idea what it was about, and had to translate it to English. It was fun on both ends - sending and receiving.

What a wonderful surprise to a regular, mundane day! I too, love sending and receiving mail, but it always ends up being more sending than receiving. So what a wonderful idea to enjoy some mail from somewhere else in the world! It's great to learn about another place and have that instant smile when you receive mail that isn't a bill or junk. The thanks for the smile! I plan to send more of these out to other friends and family soon!
