Veteran-owned, ZXYPRO Woodworks handcrafts quality cedar products that stand the test of time outdoors.

ZXYPRO began in 2017 with a 3D printer kit, a small group of friends, and the belief that making things ourselves could bring people together. What started as an experiment quickly grew into a small, employee-owned business near Washington, D.C., run by close-knit colleagues — including two U.S. Army veterans.

We first sold handmade items at local fairs and on Etsy, learning how to design better products, take better photos, and connect with customers along the way. Over time, we discovered our love for working with cedar wood — a naturally weather-resistant, sustainable material — and focused on creating handcrafted mounts and accessories for Little Free Libraries.

Today, we continue to combine innovation with craftsmanship, sustainability, and a love of books. Every order means the world to us, and we take pride in making durable, well-crafted products that bring joy to your home and your community.

Rich, our Founder, is our principal CAD designer. He loves creating things and, coming from an OD background, loves getting people to work together. Rheta, our CFO, brings the perspective of the everyday customer/user to our product development.
Tom Nicholson

Operations

Tom is our Operations Manager, handling fulfillment and logistics. Tom brings his experience working as a Department of Defense contractor and in retail management. He serves on the Board of the Chevy Chase Rescue Squad Alumni Association.
Paul Chase

Inventor, Technical Consultant

Paul lives in Fairfax, VA, with his wife and 2 young children. An engineer, Paul divides his time among his day job teaching IBM's Watson how to talk, leadership work at Nova Labs (a major makerspace), his family, and his consulting work with us.
