I am responsible for the personal information I process to operate this shop. This policy covers purchases and enquiries through my Etsy shop.

2. Information I receive

I receive information you provide directly or that Etsy makes available in connection with your order. This may include your name, Etsy username, email address, billing address, order details, payment status and messages.

Payments are handled through Etsy and its payment providers. I do not receive your full payment-card details.

3. How I use your information

I use personal information to process purchases, provide digital products and respond to order-related enquiries under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

I process information to meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Where necessary, I also process information to prevent fraud and establish, exercise or defend legal claims under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. These are my legitimate interests.

Information required to fulfil an order must be provided for the purchase to proceed. Additional information in messages is voluntary.

4. Sharing and Etsy’s role

I exchange information with Etsy as necessary to fulfil orders and resolve customer enquiries. Where legally required, relevant information may also be disclosed to public authorities. Where necessary to handle legal claims, it may be disclosed to legal advisers or courts.

I currently do not export buyer information to external customer-management or newsletter services, sell buyer information, or use it to send marketing emails.

Etsy processes personal information under its own responsibility, including for platform operation, payments and security. Etsy may process information outside the European Economic Area. Details of its international transfers and safeguards are available in Etsy’s Privacy Policy:
https://www.etsy.com/legal/privacy/

I do not independently transfer buyer information to additional providers outside the European Economic Area.

5. Retention

I retain information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above.

Where German retention requirements apply, accounting vouchers are generally retained for eight years, business correspondence for six years, and certain accounting records for ten years. The relevant period generally begins at the end of the applicable calendar year. Records may need to be kept longer where required by law or for unresolved legal proceedings.

Information is deleted when no continuing purpose or legal retention requirement applies, to the extent it is under my control. Etsy determines retention for information it processes independently.

6. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability.

You may object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on legitimate interests.

You may complain to a data-protection supervisory authority, particularly in the EU country where you live or work or where an alleged infringement occurred.

Contact me using the details above to exercise your rights regarding my processing. Requests concerning Etsy’s own processing should be directed to Etsy.

I do not make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you.
