Announcement
Zenzara's Pegge Goertzen collects antique European textiles from the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries and re-imagines them as new handbags, jewelry and pillows. She concentrates on handmade metallic gold and silver appliqués, laces, woven braids, cords and fringes. These are the pieces that often survive after the fabrics begin to deteriorate from age and use. You can see a lot of her work at www.zenzara.net. Her handbags have been in the collection of Oprah, Diane Sawyer and Demi Moore to name drop a few.
Zenzara has been shown at The Los Angeles County Museum of Art Museum Store (LACMA), The National Gallery of Art Gallery Shop in Washington, DC., the de Young Museum in San Francisco, the Sun Valley Art's Festival, the Desert Museum in Palm Springs and currently at Imago Gallery, Palm Desert, CA.
