Zietlow's Custom Signs and Livestock Show Awards
This shop was born of a dream. I had spent 27 years working as a commercial graphic designer and pre-press technician for various large companies. As a self-taught artist, my dream of working for myself was ALWAYS there.
I grew up on a small farm in Wisconsin, "country" was in my blood. In 2003, I decided to create a website to get my painted signs visible - and it just started to snowball. As luck would have it, I lost my full time job in November, 2010, and decided that THIS was the time to sink or float in fulfilling my dream of working for myself.
The niche market of hand painted livestock show awards and banners had already taken off for me. I paint awards for associations all over the United States and Canada, along with my hand painted farm/ranch, home, cabin/cottage, and business signs. I love seeing the photos and ideas my customers send me in order to have their custom hand painted signs created!
But I needed to create another avenue to sell more of the ideas I wanted to create. Etsy was the answer. I can truly say "I love my job" and "I am living my dream." Each unique piece I make is a blend of love, pride, and creativity - with my main goal of giving my customers affordable, hand made art - MADE IN THE USA.
When I discovered Etsy, it allowed me to expand into other smaller, creative items to fill in the down time between sign orders. I purchased a 1-color screen printing unit and now have added custom logo design and small run screen printing for farms, businesses, and events. I hope you will appreciate the time and effort that goes into every piece as I continue to add items to my Etsy shop.
