Creativity and a Cause
I have always been a crafty person and easily get attached to a good cause. So ultimately, my compassion for helping those in need and my creativity lead to 'Zthangs' Grand Opening!
For the past four years, I have participated in the fight for a cure to end Multiple Sclerosis (MS). I have volunteered as a medic for multiple Walks, Challenge Walks and Bike Rides. Over those four years, I have thought over and over, "How can I give more than just my time?" Fundraise.
The first big event I hosted was at my father's bowling alley. It was great! After that, I got in craft-mode and signed up for a number of small town craft shows and small festivals. I was selling handmade hula hoops (Hoops for Hope), all sorts of tie-dye, jewelry, tutus and clay earrings for stretched ears. The only downfall to that was traveling only around South Carolina. I want everyone able to see my creations and have the opportunity to donate to a good cause.
I opened 'Zthangs' last October and every item has an included donation in the sale price. I can't wait to see what the future holds!
