The only issue I had was that it took longer than expected for the completed cabinets. But for the price and the quality I can overlook that and still give 5 stars.

Aaron Hooks is the "Wood Whisperer." He and the wood communicate. Our satisfaction with our Aaron Hooks custom table exceeded all of our expectations. The photos on his site do not reflect the exceptional finished product. The craftsmanship is more like fine art. Our first view of the table was an "awe" experience. Touching the finish was another level of grandness. It is the work of a master craftsman offering form and function. Aaron Hooks is an artist and his heart and hands are one with the wood. It is beautiful, strong, sturdy, square and true. Each open leaf is stable with 3 wood supports. The leaf is level with the main center plank of the table...no wobbling, sagging or gapping. Aaron is a true craftsman. Table is spectacular with a single board cherry top and three dovetailed drawers. The drawers even have cherry drawer bottoms. Very solid table with solid construction. Weighs much more than I expected for a table this size - really solid. Thanks again Aaron. I'll be back for the coffee table.

Wow, what a beautiful table! I could not be more pleased--and Aaron was wonderful to work with. He's not just a master craftsman who does beautiful work (and obviously loves what he does), but he's also patient and helpful and responsive. I wish I had another open spot in my house right now for another one of his creations!

Working with Aaron to custom design this walnut drop leaf harvest table and benches was a pleasure. He was responsive, collaborative, and creative. We was patient with the design process and gave great advice. We wanted an industrial chic/farmhouse modern style. Aaron helped us figure out design of the steel legs which we had fabricated by another Etsy vendor and shipped to Aaron so he could assemble everything. We are very pleased with the final product, the craftsmanship, and price. He gave realistic estimates of the timeline which we appreciated. Aaron also helped us identify a good shipping option through uShip. There is probably a picture of the final table on his website.

Aaron built us an awesome table. He worked with me on the design of a large dining table that folds lengthwise to save space in my small house-- so it serves as an excellent buffet for larger gatherings. He helped keep costs down and came up with a beautiful wood inlay idea which makes the table even more special. Since I live far away I was a little apprehensive about hiring someone whose work I had not seen in person but there were excellent examples online, and so many great reviews, that I felt very safe. The price, including the shipping, was great-- less expensive than it would have been to get it made locally. I cannot say enough about how happy we are with the results. If I ever decide to have anything else custom made Aaron is the first person I will contact!
