Each new design begins with a sketch
It All Began With A Name.
Established in 2008, artist Aedriel Moxley, a native to the picturesque Santa Fe/Albuquerque area, set out to combine her love of color with aesthetically pleasing designs by creating distinctive tableware and earthenware home accents. The local culture provides Aedriel an appreciation for the unexpected while still capturing on-trend styles. She went on to create Aedriel.com, a resource for inspiration as well as party styling services. Aedriel has been generously featured across the globe including BRIDES magazine, The Glitter Guide, Southern Weddings Magazine, Style Me Pretty, Grey Likes, Poppytalk, The Bump and many others.
As a young girl I watched the potter come and go from the little house she used as a studio on our property in the North Valley outside of Albuquerque, NM. I was so intrigued by her and what she was able to create with only her vision and her hands. The seed was planted that I would someday create a life around art.
I'm often startled awake in the middle of the night with an idea, a vision, a new design. My passion runs deep. Yes, I'm a mother, a wife, a daughter, a friend and a sister but my identity is most vivid when I think of my role as a designer and artist. My name has truly shaped who I am and the dream I've always had. My name stands alone and has given me the courage and confidence to be unique.
I seek inspiration everywhere from emerging fashion and home decor trends to the breathtaking sunsets only found in New Mexico. My designs start as a sketch and are given life with either watercolors, acrylics, oils or a combination of all these mediums. After I have a clear vision of the design, I sketch directly onto my earthenware. Several layers of paint and visits to the kiln result in a piece ready for two coats of hand-painted glaze and one more firing. It's quite a process!
At AO we offer a signature look not found anywhere else with the goal in mind that moments, big and small, should be marked with a distinct and personal touch. Each piece is designed to mix and match creating a dynamic combination of sophistication and fun using only the highest heirloom quality non-toxic materials.
I would not be where I am today without the support of my husband, family and friends. My faith and my loving family always come first. I am constantly reminded of how blessed I am.
We are so grateful for our loyal following evident in the kind and gracious feedback we receive. We work hard to give every customer an amazing experience from start to finish. Take a minute to read the kind words clients have left in our feedback section.
Come on....let's start this journey together!

Shop policies
Unless an item is listed as 'ready to ship' the listed piece is only an example representing the design. Due to extremely high demand, please contact us for production times if this is a time sensitive gift. We always work to accommodate your needs. Please be sensitive to the handmade process including complications that are out of our control. Though it is extremely rare, issues like a kiln malfunctioning can result in production being delayed.
WHEN PLACING YOUR ORDER-
It is VERY important that you list ALL necessary information regarding your order including personalization, preferences (color, design etc.) and desired delivery date in the "notes to seller" field when you check out. Though I will do my best, I cannot guarantee preferences that have been communicated before or after the sale. Please keep in mind that we receive dozens of emails a day and it is difficult to gather all the important information about your order when it has been communicated over time through emails.
Once your order is placed, you will receive an email receipt, via etsy confirming the sale with a message from me regarding current production times and shipping. We must receive payment within 24 hours of when your order is placed or we reserve the right to cancel the order.
ABOUT EACH PIECE
Since all ceramics are hand-painted it is characteristic to notice variations in color and art, including brush-strokes and details of the ceramics. This is intentional and adds to the unique quality of each item. It is also common to see little imperfections in the glaze as this is a characteristic of hand-glazed ceramics.
Though all pieces are microwave and dishwasher safe we recommend hand washing. The dishwasher will increase the chance of the dinnerware crazing. Crazing is when tiny lines appear in the glaze and is common with ceramics. Many find this an appealing part of the handmade look adding character and personality to the dishes. Some pieces may craze over time regardless of whether they've been put in the dishwasher.
