I'm a little shop, working in and around my busy home life with my husband and four little kids. I like making an eclectic mix of anything and everything that I think is beautiful.

My great grandmother Anna taught my mom who then taught me the basics of crocheting when I was 5 and knitting when I was 7. I'm thankful they passed on to me the love to make things, try things, & DIY. I love experiencing the textures and colors of yarn, fabric, and thread, and would like to eventually be doing more mixing and matching of crochet, knitting, fabric, and embroidery. I love neutral colors, natural fibers, geometric designs, and color contrast. I also love making quality things that are useful, and it's even better when they are also simple to care for. I hope you enjoy them as well!

Even in the hot climate where I grew up in West Africa, people make and appreciate hand knit and crocheted items. I worked on projects off and on while growing up but really fell in love with knitting more in the past few years and then with crochet as well. Now as a mother of three children 7 years and under I'm a lot busier but try to make time for knitting and crocheting.

I started my Etsy shop shortly after my 3rd child was born. I mostly work in the evenings or during nap time, staying up late after my kids are in bed. My shop is a hobby that helps fund my own projects and supplements our family income as well. If it sticks around for a long time, maybe my kids will get involved too, though none of them is named Anna. :) They are so excited to learn how to knit and crochet and always want to play with my 'crochets' (hooks) and their own yarn. One of mine is a lefty, and I'm wondering if it will be more challenging for me to teach her or if handedness won't really get in the way.

With the birth of my fourth child, my shop has slowed a lot. I can't accept most custom work. I'm trying to keep a few loveys always in my shop and then have other items that come and go. Thanks!
