I'm Mel, a lifetime crafter, creator and lover of all things that sparkle. I am a mom of 3 kiddos living in a small suburb in Ventura County, CA, 30 min from the beach which is something I am grateful for every day.
In 2013 I started a blog, A Peace of Creativity, as a record of everything I crafted, from the parties I planned to handmade gifts and also highlighting the creativity of the people around me. My blog soon morphed into crafting tutorials with the hope of inspiring people to make and build their inner "craft confidence."
In 2017, I opened my shop which was a secret dream of mine for years. I took my love for sparkles and making things with meaning and turned it into creating handmade pieces for all of you!
Just recently, I was invited to the Etsy HQ offices in Brooklyn and that was a day I will never forget. I have always been proud of what I make but that type of recognition really meant a lot. A goal I am working on is to connect with my community and have some of my pieces in local gift shops!
I really believe in the value of gifting, decorating and collecting things with meaning and I hope my pieces can help you celebrate all of life's moments, big and small.
