I always enjoyed projects--any hands on work from building with wood, plumbing, sewing, painting--basically making anything that one would find use for. I've also been known to be a hoarder, although these days I'm taking on the name of a collector. In reality, I like to use what is no longer used in its original state and make it useful in some other form. A need and desire for repurposing, reusing and transforming what may seem as objects into and functional art is a gratifying passion.

I've also been told by some of my loved ones that I may be a little too particular in the way I see things, but if something looks right, inside it just feels right, satisfying and peaceful. And if it doesn't look right, it doesn't feel good and I don't seem to want to be around it. That is how I end up learning and exploring, which some good friends have called my crazies.

Stained glass is a telling example of my crazies. When my daughter was 5 years old, I didn't like the fact that one could see her playing in the living room through the windows we had. I went though some options to fix this--curtains (heavy, light, dark, sheer, etc.) then various forms of blinds but felt none of those options would work either. I wanted light and didn't want to feel closed in, yet I wanted privacy. Stained glass cropped up as a solution, and I that I was golden. Until I couldn't' quite find what I thought would fit our style. The only other option left was to learn how to do it and make it myself! I did exactly that which then turned into passionate years of working with glass. I thought it was only fitting that the center of the group of living room windows become my logo for my Art from Within, shop, business and future creations.
