One day I made stockings for my husband for Christmas
My Etsy journey began when my husband I couldn't afford to buy stockings for our first Christmas together, Using leftover decorator fabric given to me by my Grandma, I made us a set, which I still adore. Over the next few years I sold sets to neighbors who saw them. I had also upcycled some notebooks, which were highly admired. At that time, I decided to try selling online. Thus Artpixie was born.
Meanwhile, I took a summer drawing class, which ended up being an advanced methods exploration. I was reminded that painting and drawing bring me peace. I have realized that this may be the path in life that I am to take. I also enjoy the paper arts: stamping, die cutting, collage. quilling and other other mixed media methods, which you will also see in this store.
In the past few months, I have realized that I have two separate stores residing under the Artpixie umbrella. I have therefore begun to migrate my stockings and other holiday and decor items to a second store: www.artpixiechristmas.etsy.com. Please stop by that store to see these items.
We have a dog, a hamster and a fireplace. Hamster fur is unlikely, but a stay dog hair may escape me, and since the fireplace is in the same room where I sew, the stockings may have a faint smoke smell (which I try to avoid). Please let me know if you have any special concerns.
