Why I'm here
2015 Edit- This story still just about sums it up, though I work in a kitchen now. Still working on getting my stuff 'out there'.
-So, I was showing my work to a drunk (off duty) police officer at a bar...Who exclaimed "Why the hell are you just folding T-shirts?!, You need to sell your stuff!" Then continued spouting advice on how to do so. From the folly of galleries, only using what the call 'talent' to promote themselves and get rich off a select few by charging an outrageous commission on each piece, to how to turn high quality paper into an ink saving archival paper like the old masters. Turns out his wife is an artist and started out small with a few online shops, festivals, and such. Now that is her job, she's home with the kids and does what she loves. The fact that he articulated all that, amazes me now, but It doesn't make me any less grateful for the proverbial 'kick in the pants'.-
So here I am!
I hope you enjoy my work!
