Recycling in STYLE!

We are a small vintage shop in Midwest United States, with a brick-and-mortar location in addition to our Etsy shop. Many of our items are 'one-owner', meaning they come directly to me from their original owners/wearers. This means I often have the stories that go along with the item… "My mother made this for me in 1962, and I had a matching hat", or "I wore this dress to my sister's wedding in 1958". Hearing these gals reminisce about who they were with and where they went in these clothes is half the fun for me! Now these items are ready to move on to their new home to make a memory with YOU!

Thank you so much for shopping with me! I have always loved vintage clothes and repurposed items. I am happy and proud to have an etsy shop in addition to my brick-and-mortar vintage shop. We do vintage consignment, and are the only shop of this kind in the area, so we attract all of the best, and can be very choosy about what we offer. It's exciting for me to go through a consignment that is seeing the light of day for the first time in decades, and we know you will be excited to shop and receive your carefully curated vintage goodies! Returns and exchange details
*** All items are sold as-described, and all sales are final, since my items are consignment and we pay the owner when their items sell. I work really hard to make sure I post a thorough, descriptive listing for you, but vintage buyers need to respect that the items they are buying have a long history, and may be delicate, have had past repairs, have normal signs of wear/life/storage.

*** Feel free to ask additional questions before purchasing to make sure the item will work for you, and please be familiar with your measurements... I measure very carefully, and the measurements are of the GARMENT, not necessarily the wearer. Measure some of your best-fitting clothes to get an idea of the measurements you are looking for before shopping, it helps you know at a glance if a vintage piece may be right for you. I am not able to tell anyone over email whether or not something will fit them, as everyone is shaped differently. For fabric clothing items, measure shoulders seam to seam across top back, sleeves are shoulder seam to cuff, bust is fullest part (usually at bust darts) straight across and doubled, as is waist and hip. Most vintage pieces (aside from knits) also do not stretch, so take in consideration you may need to leave reasonable 'wiggle/breathing' room! :)

*** Please be aware that different monitors/devices may display colors/shades slightly differently, and I have no way of knowing if an item will show it's colors slightly lighter or darker on your monitor than on mine. Please email me before buying if you absolutely HAVE to have a very specific shade, perhaps I can help clarify.

*** We request that you do not purchase and then cancel your order as this uses up time and listing fees for a seller. I do allow a cancellation within the first hour only. If you absolutely must cancel your order after an hour after purchase, there is a 20% restocking fee. Cancellations are only possible if the order has not yet been shipped. Please DO NOT purchase an item, and THEN tell me you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date. If you need an item by a specific date please send a direct message BEFORE purchasing and find out if it is possible. If you have not sent a message prior to purchase, we will do our best to expedite shipping, but we cannot guarantee your deadline can be met. Cancellation by a buyer of an un-shipped order after the first hour will receive a refund minus the 20% restocking fee. No exceptions.
Payment
Items that have been listed for 24 hours or more can be reserved for a maximum of 5 business days. Layaway is possible on some items or multi-item orders, 1/2 total payment is due within 7 days of reserving items, and the other 1/2 payment is due within 14 days. If a layaway arrangement is cancelled, there is a 10% restock fee, and the rest of your deposit will be refunded.

Unpaid items (items that have been purchased but not paid for) are held for a maximum of 7 days before they will be re-listed. I kindly request that you not purchase items from the shop unless you actually have the means to pay for the item.

My items are consignment, so they are not mine to reserve or hold for longer periods of time. We accept credit/debit cards, PayPal, or mailed money orders. NO PERSONAL CHECKS, please.
Shipping
International shipping is taken care of on Tuesday only. My work schedule does not allow me to get to the post office on other days before they close. All U.S. orders are mailed in 1-3 business days. Buyer is responsible for any import taxes/customs duties required by their country to claim their package on arrival. Our 'shipping cost' quotes are for the shipping (transport from her to there) only.

If an item is returned to us because of non-acceptance at customs, or non-pickup/not able to deliver to address provided, no forwarding address, etc, we will refund the purchase price MINUS the actual shipping cost when we receive the item back. This means your refund will be less the actual non-discounted amount it cost me to ship it. When an item is returned to me, I do not get that shipping cost back, it has already been paid. For example, if you purchased something for $40 with 'free shipping', but have given me the wrong address and it is returned to me, I will refund $32 if the package had cost me $8 to ship. Shipping costs are not refundable under any circumstance, since they are paid to a 3rd party service. Please make sure before you purchase that your address info is correct and current.
Additional policies and FAQs
It never hurts to make an offer! Since my clothing items are on consignment, I cannot 'wheel n deal' with the pricing until after they have been listed for at least 60 days. I will not be able to accept most offers (unless they are very close) on recently-listed items. But it never hurts to ask! "Worst case scenario" I will send you an email letting you know when I am able to consider offers on an item. Many consignors have a certain amount they'd like to get for a piece, or they would prefer to take it back home with them, and whether I agree or not, I do have to respect that. Thanks!
Privacy
I will NEVER share any of your information with anyone else. If you send or post a picture on Etsy or social media wearing an item from me, I will ALWAYS ask your permission first before I share it. I also cannot give out personal information about my consignors, unless they have specifically stated they want me to do this.
