The story of how AwesomeSomething got started is a pretty stupid one. Stupid Awesome.

I used to be in the Navy and had a fairly regular schedule at the time when the story takes place. A few years ago, my (now ex) husband had the day off and I was at work so he decided to do something silly. Unfortunately for him, I got off early that day and ruined his surprise!

He went to the store to get a Nerf Stampede (which is a pretty big automatic gun in case you don't know) and two Nerf Mavericks (the six shooter that I use a lot now). His intention was to have a Maverick at the door for me and he was going to have the big gun and the other Maverick ready to attack me when I walked through the door. I came home while he was out getting them and so the epic battle that he planned never happened.

I was actually pretty upset that he "wasted" all that money on the Nerf guns, but he soon convinced me that it would be really cool to paint them and make them look awesome. So it began, and my very first customized nerf gun became an awesome creation that lead to me creating AwesomeSomething on etsy.

Now I sell my creations here, but my family and I also own a store where we sell things from myself and many other awesome local artists alongside lots of awesome geeky things. We also have a big game room for events and gatherings.
