This is an awesome pattern and very easy to follow! Great ideas! Works like a charm! Made one for a friend and one for myself! Best gathering apron pattern. Both of us wear it every day! My friend came to get 2 barn kitties from me, and when I asked if she wanted to borrow a pet carrier to get them home, she’s like, “why would I do that? I got two pockets on my apron!” They rode the whole way home in her pockets!!

I made some adjustments based on the needs I needed in the apron. The pattern however, was easy to follow and understand.

We have used this several times for 4-H sewers wanting to make egg aprons. The first time was not great as an adult I did not make one prior to truly understand the directions and what modifications we may need. HOWEVER, we learned and made some modifications... We did have to make some modifications and love the final result! We made changes such as adding interfacing for stiffness in the the apron back and making it double sided so no back side of fabric exposed and has no exposed or raw edges, not rounding the corners, added lots of topstitching, etc to make it up to Ohio 4-H sewing standard. The one thing I would suggest is when doing the egg pocket placement is to find your center and start with the center placement and work out. We found that it make it a lot easier for the child sewing it and makes it even on the apron.
