Hello 👋🏾 I’m Liza and I run Bag De Vie Handmade shop. I’ve always loved crafting and sewing. If I’m not at home creating, you’ll find me in the air as a flight attendant.
I started my Etsy shop out of boredom whilst battling depression last year. I bought myself a new sewing machine to keep my mind busy and a reason to get out of bed and soon created some beautiful things with the help of many tutorials from YouTube. I’ve always loved sewing but didn’t see myself as a pro until I showed my sister my creations. After much pestering and pressure from her to share and show the world my creations, Bag De Vie was born.
I got the name Bag De Vie ( simply means Bag for Life. I thought it sounded fancier in French :-) after the first project I made - a reusable drawstring bag to organise my suitcase when travelling for work and also reuse for other things including using them for shopping to help reduce plastic and avoid single use plastic bags.
Fast forward to 2020 and my little shop has grown quite a bit and gone international too. I never thought I’ll be able to create a whole business during these trying times! With your help, we’ve been able to serve communities across the U.K. by providing over 5,000 masks and donating funds from masks sales to help support our NHS and Healthcare workers.
