Bar Argent started in 2010 as a way for my boyfriend (now husband!) and I to spend time together learning something new. He comes from a long line of jewelers, and I love to draw and design, so spending a few weekends a month together learning how to make jewelry seemed like a fun way to add value to our time together. What started as a hobby gradually turned into something more serious as we continued to develop new skills and received interest in the individual pieces that we designed. After much prodding from family and friends, we decided to venture out and start our business together in early 2013. We haven't looked back since!
The jewelry made by us is sterling silver and handmade. All of our vintage jewelry is procured either from my father-in-law who is an antique dealer, or from my trips to estate sales across the Northeast. If our descriptions are unclear or you are unsure, please ask -- we try to be as responsive as possible.
We are now transitioning our product lines toward higher end materials, incorporating solid gold and diamonds among other mediums. We'll likely be launching those designs on our new sister site, bar zahav. We are super excited to work with our amazing customers and add beautiful new designs to both shops. Stay tuned!
