Ruth Barzel Jewelry Design
I'm Ruthie, the creative force behind, Ruth Barzel Jewelry Design. My goal is to create simple, elegant, affordable jewelry that works with anything you're wearing and allows you to look effortlessly fabulous every day.
I spend my days in a quiet, cozy little office/studio in my home, in Seattle, where I single-handedly manage all aspects of my business, which includes sourcing materials, designing and making jewelry marketing, photography, and record-keeping. I also work as a writer/editor.
When there's any time left over, you'll probably find me reading, knitting, eating chocolate, going on long walks and short hikes, hanging with friends and family, or scouring stores and the internet for the perfect [fill in the blank]. My goal is always to relax more and hurry less; I'm not sure I've made any progress. There are always so many things I want to do, try, and learn.
I've always adored beautiful things. By the time I discovered that I also love to make beautiful things and share them with others, I already had two kids, another career, and all the responsibilities that come with being an adult. That makes for a busy life—and juggling everything can be overwhelming at times. But I don't for a second regret launching my jewelry business. The experience has taught me that it's never too late to grow, learn, or start anew.
