Ik ben al zo lang ik me kan herinneren creatief. Als tiener, rond mijn zestiende of zeventiende, tekende ik heel veel. Destijds was ik constant op zoek naar het perfecte notitieboekje – eentje die echt goed in mijn handen zou liggen. Maar ik kon nooit precies vinden wat ik zocht.
De oplossing was dus simpel: als je het niet kunt vinden, creëer het dan zelf. 💖
Zo begon mijn reis in de wereld van het boekbinden.
Vandaag ben ik 31 en ik maak al zo'n 15 jaar notitieboekjes. Het is het enige ambacht dat me al zo lang zo boeit. Ik woon in het zuiden van Oekraïne, omringd door velden en rivieren, en deze rustige plek biedt me de ruimte om te creëren.
Het grootste deel van mijn werk bestaat uit goed gemaakte, duurzame notitieboeken — hardcover dagboeken en paperbackboeken die zowel praktisch als mooi zijn, en gemaakt om jarenlang gebruikt en gekoesterd te worden. Maar soms, als ik genoeg tijd en inspiratie heb, beginnen mijn handen en geest te experimenteren.
Dan worden de dingen wat ongewoner: combinaties van stoffen, borduurwerk, leer, breiwerk, punch needle en alle andere ideeën die opkomen. Als de inspiratie komt, probeer ik die gewoon tot leven te brengen.
Ik werk vanuit een kleine thuisstudio waar alles wat ik nodig heb binnen handbereik is. De meeste details maak ik met de hand. En soms heb ik een kleine 'assistent' die toezicht houdt op het proces: mijn hond Manyunya (Mini).
Mijn notitieboekjes zijn gemaakt voor iedereen die houdt van het gevoel van een goed notitieboekje: kunstenaars, schrijvers, mensen die graag plannen maken, of gewoon mensen die het fijn vinden om hun gedachten op papier vast te leggen.

I’ve been a creative person for as long as I can remember. As a teenager, around 16–17 years old, I used to draw a lot. Back then I was constantly searching for the perfect notebook — one that would truly feel right in my hands. But I could never find exactly what I wanted.
So the solution was simple: if you can’t find it, create it. 💖
That’s how my journey into bookbinding began.
Today I’m 31, and I’ve been making notebooks for about 15 years. It’s the only craft that has managed to keep me this fascinated for so long. I live in the south of Ukraine, surrounded by fields and rivers, and this quiet place gives me space to create.
Most of my work consists of well-made, durable notebooks — hardcover journals and softcover books designed to be both practical and beautiful, and made to be used and loved for years. But sometimes, when I have enough time and inspiration, my hands and mind start experimenting.
That’s when things become more unusual: combinations of fabrics, embroidery, leather, knitting, punch needle, and whatever ideas happen to appear. When inspiration comes, I simply try to bring it to life.
I work from a small home studio where everything I need is close at hand. Most of the details are made by hand. And sometimes I have a tiny “assistant” supervising the process — my dog Manyunya (Mini)
My notebooks are made for anyone who loves the feeling of a good notebook: artists, writers, planners, or people who simply enjoy capturing their thoughts on paper.
