My name is Batya, and I’m a jewelry artist. Out of my love for diversity and beauty, I create jewelry from a variety of raw materials, without limiting myself to any particular style.
I have been engaged in art all my life: music, singing, drawing, and dancing. These artistic forms have shaped the years of my life and have added layers of depth to my work as a jewelry artist over the past decade.
Thirteen years ago, I made a meaningful shift. After a 30-year career as a pianist, classical singer, and teacher of the performing arts, I chose to explore new creative avenues. I began studying silversmithing at a jewelry college, and after graduating, I continued my training with expert artists, focusing on specialized techniques like gemstone inlay.
Each of us is a master in our field, and mine includes carving, drawing, and sculpting. I feel a deep connection to nature and cosmic energies, which often guide my creative direction.
I am a chemist of jewelry.
Among my designs, you’ll find precious metals, diamonds, and gemstones. I also work with an eclectic mix of materials, crystals, glass, wood, leather, fabric, stones, plexiglass, coins, and more. Each piece I make is a unique work of art.
During the creation process, my focus shifts between movement, structure, and color. Every element is considered. Every piece is a discovery.
