Finding that niche in life..
Recently I started restoring or re-purposing furniture. It all started with a World War II trunk I brought home one day. Well with needing something to keep me busy, I started looking at this so called trunk, trying to figure out where to start... Well once I started, peeling back the warped outside skin,.... I WAS HOOKED!! Granted it took me a while to get it done, being a novice at it.. but when I finished it, I felt a sense of pride, satisfaction that I completed a project, and Surprise as to how well it turned out!!
I now do all kinds of furniture, from desks, dressers, cabinets, hutches and so on. One of my favorite things to do is use Chalk paint. I LOVE this stuff!! the colors and textures you can produce with this paint is Wonderful!!
My Mother, and Grandmother all loved to create unique art work. My daughter is also has been getting in touch with her creative side. She has made some of the MOST beautiful flower arrangements I have to ever see, even in Florist shops!! I must say, I am very impressed! All of us love to tap into our creative side and see what we can transform into beauty!
