How it all began...
I have been doing needlework for as long as I can remember. I've always had a passion for textiles and before I finished grammar school I had already dabbled (and in some cases become devoted) in knitting, sewing, dyeing, stenciling, rug punching, embroidery and more in addition to developing a passion for creating my own jewelry designs including lapidary work and casting my own settings.
As an adult, I began my career in Culinary Arts and at work, I expressed myself artistically through food but at home I continued with my passion for textiles and eventually when forced to sell my restaurant and catering facility due to a degenerative disease I turned to my textile hobbies to fill my days. As I delved into dying more deeply, I found myself dyeing my own yarns and fibers, spinning my own yarns and designing original knitting projects to create truly unique wearable art.
After a time, I found myself being asked repeatedly where I purchased my yarns and fibers and after responding that I had dyed them myself the follow up was always "Do you sell them?" so I gave in and starting very slowly I signed up to be a vendor at my local sheep and wool festival. Although I now do online sales and a few more festivals each year, my yarns and fibers are and will always be in extremely limited quantities as my disabilities limit the amount of dyeing I can accomplish.
