A Creative Outlet is Needed

Originally from Southeast Louisiana, then 20 years in the Atlanta area we've settled on our forever home in northeast Oklahoma in the rural area east of Tulsa. We love our six acres while raising backyard chickens for their fresh eggs, bees for their honey and gardening for fresh produce.

I've sewn all my life it seems. I've made clothing for myself and my daughter (when she was young and couldn't complain) plus home decor items, purses, totes, quilts and wallhangings to name a few. Then I developed a love of machine embroidery and have included that discipline in my craftworks.

After retiring from years of nursing, with more time on my hands I was creating more then ever. When my mother Jennie came to live with us, and with her love of sewing our craft grew to hours and hours of sewing together. We both needed a creative outlet and BluButterflyGoods was formed.

We hope you enjoy what we have to offer and work hard to create quality handmade items.

I love to sew and create and after I retired from years of nursing I needed a creative outlet, thus BluButterflyGoods was formed. I'm a quiltmaker with my own longarm machine but love to make purses, totes and home decor items.

Mother Jennie loves to sew. It doesn't matter what she sews as long as she's sewing. She is a huge help in the Studio plus she makes her own quilts, including donation quilts that go to my sister's prayer quilt ministry.
