Art inspired and created with love, hope, joy and faith

blue violet~~my favorite color~~prayers~~always praying while weaving. I'm an Arizona girl, artist and art teacher who moved to the mountains of Colorado a few years ago to work with Compassion International. I'm a weaver, painter, mixed media fiber artist and an advocate for children in need. When you purchase one of my tapestries or blankets you help support children we sponsor in Guatemala, Bolivia, Rwanda, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia and Uganda because a portion of every sale goes to our child sponsorships through Compassion International. Meeting our sponsored children changed my life, broke my heart and inspired me to spend the rest of my life trying to do everything I can to help make a difference in the lives of children in need. My art and my etsy shop are dedicated to ending extreme poverty by doing my small part with the gifts God has given me.

Silk, linen, and organic cotton are my favorite fibers to work with. The cross is the central theme in my tapestries. I love mixed media fiber art so often combine weaving, embroidery, paint and batik or sari fabrics into my work.

Woven baby blankets were inspired by the babies in need that I've met in my work with Child Survival, a part of the Compassion programs.

Thank you for joining me in this mission to change the world and bring love, hope, faith and joy to children!

Check out my other etsy shop - Little Blue Violet, where you'll find the Children's Art Studio in a Box.
Blessings and Peace!
