Both lots of beads in this order are marvelous!! The deeply carved black jasper beads are beautifully crafted and the circular ridges create a lovely visual movement within the black field. The lucite beads really have a visual punch with the swirled gold and ivory on the black background. The gold just twinkles in the light with an unexpected life. I am thrilled with my newest to me beads! Thank you for carefully packaging my purchase to arrive swiftly and undamaged during shipping. I will definitely be back!

From Ceramics To Beads

I originally was a ceramist/potter and attended The Philadelphia College of Art (now, The University of the Arts) from 1980 - 84, majoring in ceramics.

After graduation, I showed in many museum and gallery shows all over the United States. I have a ceramic piece in the permanent collection of the Delaware Museum.
Unfortunately, in 1990, because of an accident, I had to give up pottery because of its great physical demands.

Several years later, I walked into my first bead store and fell in love with all the different beads hanging all over the walls and that was the beginning of my 2nd art career....making necklaces.

Soon my friends wanted to buy what I was making, and eventually, I was asked to be in different shows in the area. It has been an exciting adventure. The beads still inspire me and when I bring some new ones home, I never know where they will take me.
