Brass Engine's Story

Jewelry, handmade customizable wood, leather, and other accessories. Thank you for visiting our Brass Engine Creations Etsy shop!

We intend to fill our shelves with a variety of handmade and hand-assembled items, including but not limited to jewelry, accessories, trinkets, and interesting leather goods. We are fans of many things, like Steampunk, D&D, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars, but not all our items will be fandom-specific. We make and sell the things that make us happy-- and we hope that they'll make you happy, too!

We create the majority of the items found here, and since we often work live shows --festivals and conventions-- as well, our inventory will change often according to availability. If ever you have a question about something you saw on our table at a live show or here on our Etsy shop shelves, please feel free to contact us about it!

The conventions and this store are how we make our living and our life together.

So, whether you've met us at an event and have come to browse our wares online, or have stumbled upon our store through some other means, we appreciate your business! Brass Engine is a large part of our lives, and your purchases help to keep us going!

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

If we make a mistake or send out the wrong item, of course we'll resolve the situation free of charge to you.

If you are simply unhappy with an item you receive, you are free to return it in GOOD condition. We will gladly exchange the item or refund the purchase price, but you will still be responsible for the return shipping costs.

We do not offer any warranty on any item in our shop. If one of our products is damaged while in your possession, we do not take responsibility and do not typically offer free replacements.
Shipping
We typically ship via United States Postal Service standard First Class or Priority Mail. If a different shipping method is desired or if a rush shipment is needed, please contact us to make arrangements. Please see shop announcement for any potential shipping delays.

Lead time on Leather: All leather is made to order. Please see the shop announcement for current lead times on leather items before they ship. This can affect your item's potential arrival date. Etsy estimates delivery based on our current lead time, but may not be completely accurate with our shipping methods.

We are not responsible for delayed, damaged, lost, or stolen packages. We are not responsible for returned or unclaimed packages that are returned to sender. most of our standard shipping is USPS First Class, and does not include shipping insurance. If insurance is desired, please let us know so that a small insurance fee may be added to your purchase.

Refunds are not given for items that were lost, delayed, damaged, or stolen while in transit to the destination.

If the customer requests to ship an item that was unclaimed and returned to us, they will be asked to pay any shipping fees to resend it.

In an effort to be a bit more environmentally friendly, we usually use recycled materials or even re-use shipping materials-- if a box or envelope still functions properly, we figure it deserves one more use before going to sit in a landfill. It may not be the prettiest packaging, but we hope you can understand! (Please note that this also allows us to keep our shipping and handling costs lower, as well!)

We are not responsible for VAT, prohibitions, or any restrictions for international shipments. Buyer assumes all responsibility for their country's import regulations. We are not responsible for delayed international shipments or any lack or tracking information provided by USPS. If you need a guaranteed delivery date, please request Priority Express International shipping, which takes 6-10 days.
