How do you grade the condition of vintage clothing?
Each item is carefully inspected and described honestly. I use standard vintage condition terms (Excellent, Very Good, Good, and Fair) to help you know what to expect. I also note and photograph any flaws so you can shop with confidence.
What does "Excellent" or "Very Good" condition mean?
Items in excellent vintage condition look nearly new with little to no visible wear. Fabric and color are vibrant, seams and buttons are intact, and there are no noticeable flaws. It’s rare for older pieces to look this fresh. These are true gems in the vintage world!
Pieces in very good vintage condition show only minimal signs of age, such as slight fading, light wear, or a tiny mark that doesn’t affect their look or wearability. They’re clean, well-kept, and still present beautifully when worn or displayed.
What does "Good" or "Fair condition mean?
Good vintage condition means the item shows gentle signs of age: maybe light pilling, some fading, a faint mark, or subtle color bleed. These pieces are completely wearable and still look great. Any imperfections are always described and photographed clearly.
Fair vintage condition means the item has visible signs of wear like major fading, missing pieces, small holes, or minor stains. It’s still wearable or great for styling, but its age is more noticeable. Many collectors love fair-condition pieces for their authentic, lived-in charm.
Are vintage sizes the same as modern sizes?
Vintage sizing often runs smaller than modern fits. I always include exact flat measurements so you can compare them to your own clothing and ensure a comfortable, accurate fit. When in doubt, size up or message me for help!
Why might colors look different in photos?
I photograph items in my studio and do my best to show colors accurately, but screens and lighting can cause slight variations. If you need to confirm a color, feel free to message me. I’m happy to help with extra details or photos.
