Buttonlandia was conceived in a small one bedroom apartment in Seattle. It was a dream of Sofia's to be able to create things and share it with the world. Seattle was a world of inspiration from the excellent coffee, bike rides, delicious food, concerts and night life.

A move of 174 miles lead Sofia and her husband to Portland, Oregon. This is where the true magic happened with Buttonlandia. Portland is a city alive with other creative people, limitless hikes, a plethora of brew pubs and waterways to dip your feet into. Sofia fell head over heels for Portland and it seemed as though Portland did the same. While growing her business, Buttonlandia became a bountiful endeavor.

Buttonlandia was featured in two different episodes of Portlandia. Not to mention being sold in stores all across town in Portland (and out of state). AND also being bought by a few celebrities.

Embracing Buttonlandia's sassy, funny, cute and sometimes geeky mantra, Sofia has grown her business to not only be her true love but also a fun anecdote. She loves colors, creating funny little faces on her plushes, making people laugh & smile with her greeting cards and making some say "awww" with her personalized touches.

Buttonlandia sticks to trying to save the environment by using recycled felt made from post consumer plastic bottles. We recycle all of our mailing envelopes and cardboard that is placed with card orders. We try to tread as lightly as possible when making and creating. We hope that you can enjoy the little touches, too.
