It was only until a few years ago that I realised how humongous the fashion industrys' contribution to global warming was (it is the second most polluting industry in the world) and after becoming aware of it, I have since dramatically changed my behaviour towards shopping.
I created Cabbage Patch Collective as a way of making special, handmade gifts using materials that would have otherwise been thrown away. All the products featured from my shop are made from fabric which I have salvaged and therefore by supporting Cabbage Patch Collective, you are immediately reducing the amount of fabric that ends up in landfill sites every year and thus reducing the emissions released by clothes every year.
Through my shop, I hope to highlight the issue of waste in the fashion industry as well as inspire individuals to adopt the role of conscious consumers.
