Announcement   HI! I deconstruct vintage chandeliers and use the glass crystals for the pendant. I then search through vintage and antique books for illustrations that are both detailed and have special meaning. The facets of the crystal give the image a shimmering depth that makes the vintage image even more compelling.

** Chain finishes and lengths can be changed, just message me with requests and we can probably accomodate your needs. **

:: I have a large inventory of images, if your looking for something special ask! ::

About

Whats with your name?

Hello, welcome to my shop, CAPABLE FATHER!

First lets talk about where that name came from! In addition to being a full time artist I am the stay at home parent to my 9 kids. Our family is a mix of biological and adopted kids, we are a huge, crazy loud family; and I love it!
Years ago when I became the stay at home parent, and a foster parent there were very few dads in the role of primary caregiver.
The general bias we encountered was that dads couldn't do the job as well as a mom. My oldest daughter one night said "I'm going to have a t-shirt made for you that says Capable Father!"

Best compliment ever.

So the name stuck, and became my store name, mantra, battle cry, meditation...and aspiration.

So the Jewelry? I purchased some vintage chandeliers at an auction years ago. The idea was that I would rewire them and hang them in the house, that never happened.
I started making a few pieces of jewelry for my wife that combined images from antique books with the crystals and reclaimed beads and stones from vintage jewelry. When she wore them people loved them and a business was born!

We, as a family, feel so blessed and thankful that our pacific northwest community and online community has supported my artistic vision!

Thank you, and nice to meet you!
