Covering the World in Yarn, One Cozy at a Time
David started knitting one weekend in the fall of 2009 and hasn’t stopped yet. It provided a wonderful distraction from his daily commute between Staten Island and Midtown Manhattan, gave the ladies on the express bus a reason to chat him up, and provided wonderful fodder for his Facebook or Twitter accounts.
After most of his close friends, relations, co-workers and their pets had received a CawfeeCozy or scarf or baby blanket or hat or gloves or sweater, he realized that in order to continue knitting the items he wanted, he’d need to find some way of getting rid of them. At the urging of most of these friends, he decided to set up shop on Etsy, figuring it’d be a wonderful way to subsidize what is clearly an addiction that rivals his need for gourmet coffee.
In recent years he’s added a new dimension to his fiber obsession by learning to spin his yarn (like pioneer or Rumpelstiltskin) while binging Netflix shows or listening to audiobooks (instead of cooking and cleaning and doing all those things a partially employed person usually does).
Now, be a dear and buy something, so he can get yarn to make his husband some socks.
