About

In Love With Color

I've re-launched my Etsy store to feature my first love - enameling! After studying costume design at UCLA, I moved to Oakland, California to study Jewelry/Metal Arts at California College of the Arts. After graduating at CCA, I worked for Mark Poulin Jewelry and started teaching Enameling at The Crucible in Oakland. I am now Production/Office Manager for Mark Poulin and Co-Head of Department in Enameling at The Crucible. I love sharing my knowledge and learning from my colleagues and students.
CC Star is all about celebrating what I love about enamel - rich, beautiful color, iridescence, and pattern. I'm inspired by all of the amazing color combinations I see out in the world.

I have two other Etsy stores:
a4ds
mrandmrsmonster

And I work for Mark Poulin, who has three stores that I help run:
marmar
marmarsuperstar
marmarmodern

I am also captain of the team Vitreous Enamelers of Etsy, VEE.

    Owner, Designer

I live in the Fruitvale district in Oakland, CA among taquerias and temples with my husband Steve and our cats Loki and Squeak. When I'm not running CC Star, I enjoy making and looking at art, watching movies, drinking margaritas, and flea markets.

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

I'm happy to work with you to create a custom order! Get the conversation started by sending me a message.
Custom orders are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.

Care instructions

Care of enamel surfaces:
Enamel is durable, but just like glass it shouldn't be dropped or crushed. Enamel surfaces can be gently wiped clean with a damp cloth if necessary. Avoid chemical agents and cleaners.

Care of metal surfaces:
Copper and silver surfaces can be polished with a jewelry cloth, but should not be cleaned with liquid or paste cleaners, which could strip any patina or discolor enamel surfaces. Take care to keep beaded necklaces clean and dry and free from soaps, chemicals, and makeup, as it can be difficult to clean in the spaces between beads.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Every package comes lovingly gift-boxed and without a receipt, ready for gift-giving.
Leave a note at checkout if you would like me to include a note to your recipient.

About Vitreous Enamel

Vitreous enamel is made from specially-formulated powdered glass which is fused to a metal surface, such as copper, silver, or gold. It must be fired with a torch or in a kiln to 1300-1700F to fully fuse. This is different than "cold enamel," which is a resin and not made from glass. I use solely Thompson's Enamel, which is lead-free and made in the USA.
