Fresh, Yet Nostalgic - Pop Art for the Video Game Generation

I believe in breaking down modern pop art through the process of reverse engineering. I work primarily in acrylic paint. I prefer complementary colors and intense lines. I love it when a piece strikes the balance between a childhood influence and my personal vision. The mood I aim for is both fresh and nostalgic.

My approach as a self-taught, outsider artist is a reflection of my various homes, including Indiana, Virginia and New Jersey.

If my art was a party, musical stars would mingle with icons of the silver screen, cartoon clouds and a very special cow. Pop art would line the walls. I would DJ and freak out each time the crowd roared to an old school jam.

I run this shop with my fiancee, Jamie. She is a wonderful woman with an artistic drive, amazing work ethic and lots and lots of patience. She is truly the better half of the Chris Ernst Art team.
