About charamath

On Etsy since 2011

It's all paint and good 'ole elbow grease :P

I use to mainly do digital painting and sculpting, but looking at monitors started to give me bad headaches my senior year of college. The result was me plunging head first into traditional media. Once I got fairly comfortable, I started to let my sense of humor come through more and more in my work. My main love is designing creatures and monsters, but I enjoy bringing smiles to people's faces with my parody work.

Over the past two years, I've slowly gathered a decent amount of fans. Thanks to their support (and that of my wonderful boyfriend), I was able to start making prints of my work and open this shop. I'm proud of every good review and happy message I get, so I try my best to make every transaction a happy one through prompt service, quality work and fast communication.

I've recently began exploring attending cons and had my first (very successful) artist alley table at Rose City Comic Con. I hope to expand on that significantly more so I can meet more of my fans and customers in person.

My artwork can be found on clothing through TeePublic (https://www.teepublic.com/user/charamath)

Nearly all of my prints are available in a large size (8x8 or 11x14) and a small (5x5 or 5x7) to try and accommodate every buyer. I can also do poster size prints of nearly every image. If you are looking for a custom size, feel free to message me. I may be able to print it in the size you'd prefer.

Buying a print or original painting DOES NOT give you rights to the original image. This means it cannot be used in advertising, in a tattoo flash portfolio, scanning/reprinting in any form, etc. I maintain all rights to the image. For full rights to an image you must commission me for it or request a license of an image.

Likewise, there are no recasts allowed on any of my sculpted pieces. You can tweak the original sculpture, but you can not make a cast of it (even if it's been tweaked).

Returns and exchange details
I am not responsible for damages/loss of packages caused by the post office. I recommend insurance if you have a particularly rough delivery service. For my sculptures I offer free repairs (within reason).

Refunds are given on orders once the item has been received by me in re-salable condition.
Payment
I take Paypal or credit/debit through Etsy. Order cancellation must be within 12 hours (any later, and it's likely to already be on it's way).
Shipping
Items are shipped within 3 business days (with the occasional exception for holidays and extreme weather). I recommend insurance if you have a particularly rough delivery service. Insurance must be purchased on all sculptures and pieces over $100. All my prints (except poster size) are mailed flat in a rigid mailer that has 'Do Not Bend!' written clearly on it. Posters are shipped in tubes. Packages are usually sent via USPS unless requested otherwise.

I do ship internationally. I try to keep shipping costs as low as possible. I wish shipping internationally was cheaper, but I'm actually charging less then I what I end up paying. Sorry! If you want full tracking on your international packages, I recommend going for Priority shipping. The cheapest shipping does not track the package once it leaves the US.

Charity prints are labeled as such. I keep track of all the sales and do a lump-sum donation to the charity at the end of the year. Each print donation is calculated at full price, even if it was purchased using a coupon.

Frequently asked questions
Gift wrapping and packaging

I offer free gift wrapping! That means I will wrap the rigid mailer in either a holiday colored (red, green and white) or ornate design (currently gold and purple) paper. Just ask for it in the notes to the seller on your order!

Custom and personalized orders

*Custom orders- it is possible to request custom pieces. Just shoot me an email with the details. Prices vary depending on what you would like. Typical work turn-over time is 2 weeks-1 month.

*Personalized orders- In most cases I can add things like custom wording to prints. Usually it just requires extra shipping time and a small additional fee. That fee may increase for more drastic/time consuming changes. Feel free to message me with details!
