Watercolors Paintings - Take a tour of scenes from Santa Fe, Northern New Mexico and the Southwest.

charlesash's Shop Policies

Welcome

My artwork draws from the Southwest forms, colors and experiences of Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado; an enjoyment in the act of painting expressing a simpler, more casual approach to life. My watercolors range from landscapes that expresses the beauty and quiet enjoyment of the Southwest to figurative works that express a dynamic quality; using the figure as an opportunity to introduce color and motion. In each approach I rely on the quality of light and shadow to give a bold quality to my work.

All the watercolors are originals on acid free paper, matted, unframed and shrink-wrapped. "Why no frames?" Watercolors need to be framed with glass in order to protect the artwork from fading and damage. By not framing the artwork, this enables me to sell the pieces at a reduced cost and also saves the cost and protection of shipping artwork with glass. However, if you desire, maple frames with white wash finish are available for an additional cost.
