I handpaint all of the initial letters ordered , write all of the original calligraphy pieces and all of the printed calligraphy and heraldry animal cards are from my own artworks. The animal greetings cards featuring four dragons in different colors, a unicorn, griffin, dolphin, seahorse, lion rampant, a grumpy owl - are all printed from my original paintings.
The initials can be handpainted in any color or gilded in real 23c gold leaf, with favourite flowers - eg thistles, bluebells, heraldic roses, white clover, snowdrops, strawberries, apples, or choose a colourful dragon or another heraldic animal.
Herald Painter and Calligrapher, I graduated from Anthony and Margaret Wood's specialised course in Calligraphy, Heraldry and Manuscript Illumination at Reigate School of Art and Design, Surrey, and am a Craft Member of the Society of Heraldic Arts. As Herald Painter, I lead the team of artists in the Court of the Lord Lyon, HM New Register House, Edinburgh, Scotland, where I have worked for over 30 years.

Please feel free to browse my handpainted illuminated letters - an note that I can paint ANY letter in any color or gild ANY letter in 24c Gold leaf or Palladium leaf (for silver).
I paint all of the initial letters myself and am happy to discuss ideas with you if you are unsure of what might look best, so do contact me about any questions you have before ordering.
Be assured that I use only the best quality of watercolor or gouache paints, watercolor paper and that each initial is sold within an ivory double mount. Ordered items will be securely packed within layers of board before being sent to ensure that they are protected and delivered to you in perfect condition.

Items sent from the UK to Europe can take from 10 - 14 days to reach their destination, and 2 - 4 weeks to reach places in the United States, Canada, Australia.
Additional policies and FAQs
Items ordered outside the UK will be sent by Royal Mail's International Standard post to everywhere else. Currently from 7 - 14 days to within Europe and from 2 - 4 weeks reaching the US or Canada for example.

To fulfill your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you have authorised Etsy to provide to me) such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information and the details of the product that you are ordering. HOW AND WHERE I STORE THIS INFORMATION
I print off a copy of each order to make it simpler for me to access the delivery address and then store them in an Orders file which I am required to keep for my Business records and Accounts, and I am the only person who has access to this file.
By law I have to store my records of sales of artwork and of payments made to me for artworks sold for the period of seven years as proof of income received and all payments made.
INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
I do not share data to third parties except with Etsy, as necessary to provide you with my services and to comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
I do not keep a mailing list of people who have ordered from me.
I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I am also required to retain this information to comply with my business and tax obligations. I keep your data for the period of seven years because this is number of years of Accounts I must retain as a professional self-employed artist living in the UK.
