5 out of 5 starsLove these flower pendants. They will be a great addition to the necklaces I have been making. I could not believe how quickly they arrived. I know our states are near each other but it still was surprising

The Need to Create
I've always been a 'dabbler'...even before I earned the Girl Scout badge that said so. I can thank my father for this trait. Sewing and embroidery were my first crafts for which I can thank my mother hence my passion to create buttons along with my jewelry components. I have enjoyed doll making, needlepoint, and quilting where I studied Elizabeth Bradley and Kaffe Fasset designs...both, masters of color.
I'm happiest with my head down over both the clay table and my glazing station. I keep my dry erase board and notebook handy for design ideas and listen to my customer comments for a nudge as to what to create.
I have tools everywhere and am a gadget girl!
~Tools in my garage for projects around the house!
~Tools in my office for labeling, shipping and packaging and in my basement for clay production and kiln firings.
~Then my studio....Tools for glazing at one end, tools for sewing at the other. And in between, my photography set up, a roll top desk for jewelry design and my work table where the latest firings are sorted for Etsy, bead store sales, and trunk shows. Oh and then there are the nights in front of TV with trays of product and my laptop for listing, communication, and networking. fFind the latest news and such on Facebook 'The Classic Bead' (the links are below!)
REWARDS??
The notes and comments from my customers are the biggest reward I receive. And for that...I thank you.
Welcome to one of my two shops here on Etsy. ClassicBead and ClassicElements.
Gratefully,

That's me and my granddaughter, Allison! I am a midwest native from Kansas City. Crafting before crafting was cool. Embroidery, sewing, needlepoint, doll making, and finally my hands landed in the clay where they stay most of the time. Welcome!
Shop policies
Often times, my inspiration is related to seasonal cycles and the beauty of nature's life force. Other times it is derived from sources such as other's passions, beliefs, or lifestyles such as the pieces in my Simply Yoga collection. It is a natural reaction for me to want to share the emotions brought forth by these inspirations. I have done my job of conveying these emotions if YOU receive inspiration from wearing my jewelry designs, using my components in your own creations, or hanging a piece on a wall in your home. Any of these is an honor I do not take lightly and for that I thank you.
My ceramic buttons and pendants begin from a block of clay and are handformed using a variety of techniques including original molds and stamps I have created. All pieces are kiln fired a minimum of two times. Many pieces will incorporate three or more different glazes on one piece. I feel these glaze combinations are what make my pieces unique and so versatile when it comes to coordinating bead selections.
I work from my home where I rush through my other responsibilities in order to get to "studio time" where I am my most content.
