The Need to Create
I've always been a 'dabbler'...even before I earned the Girl Scout badge that said so. I can thank my father for this trait. Sewing and embroidery were my first crafts for which I can thank my mother hence my passion to create buttons along with my jewelry components. I have enjoyed doll making, needlepoint, and quilting where I studied Elizabeth Bradley and Kaffe Fasset designs...both, masters of color.
I'm happiest with my head down over both the clay table and my glazing station. I keep my dry erase board and notebook handy for design ideas and listen to my customer comments for a nudge as to what to create.
I have tools everywhere and am a gadget girl!
~Tools in my garage for projects around the house!
~Tools in my office for labeling, shipping and packaging and in my basement for clay production and kiln firings.
~Then my studio....Tools for glazing at one end, tools for sewing at the other. And in between, my photography set up, a roll top desk for jewelry design and my work table where the latest firings are sorted for Etsy, bead store sales, and trunk shows. Oh and then there are the nights in front of TV with trays of product and my laptop for listing, communication, and networking. fFind the latest news and such on Facebook 'The Classic Bead' (the links are below!)
REWARDS??
The notes and comments from my customers are the biggest reward I receive. And for that...I thank you.
Welcome to one of my two shops here on Etsy. ClassicBead and ClassicElements.
Gratefully,
