Lots of the fabric for sale here is out of print and hard to find. Please read listings carefully to understand the quantity of fabric for sale.

Most fabric here is priced and sold by the (fat) quarter yard (FQ) - a quarter of a yard, measuring approximately 18 inches x 22 inches. Fabric is cut from the bolt, in a continuous length when possible, unless otherwise noted in the listing.

What is a fat quarter? It's one-fourth of a yard cut in such a way as to make it possible to cut larger squares for quilting than from a typical 9" x 44" quarter yard strip - also known as a "long quarter yard".
Four (fat) quarter yards together equal one yard of fabric. A yard of typical quilting fabric measures 36" x 44". Unfold and lay a yard of fabric out flat, then cut once down the middle from top to bottom and then once across the middle from side to side, and you'll have 4 fat quarter yards of fabric, each measuring approx. 18" x 22". Here is a good visual explanation:

Listings for fabric sold by the fat quarter yard : More than one quantity will be cut in a continuous length whenever possible, unless otherwise stated in the listing, when you purchase an even number of units. Even-numbered quantities (2, 4, 6, 8, etc.) will be cut as one single length of fabric.
However, in the case of an odd-numbered quantity (3, 5, 7, 9 etc.), one fat quarter will be cut, and the rest will be in a single continuous length. In other words, you'll receive two separate pieces of fabric if you order an odd number of fat quarters. One piece will be a fat quarter yard, and the rest will be in a continuous length.

It's possible that there's more fabric in inventory than what is shown in the listing - feel free to ask.

Photos : Selvages are often included in the photos for scale. Photos shown in listings are sometimes representative of the fabric you will receive; that is to say, you may or may not get a printed selvage on the fat quarter you purchase. Sometimes, photos in listings have been obtained from the manufacturers' websites. And please be aware : Larger-scale prints cut into fat quarter yards may appear different from the yard-size photo provided.

As USPS continues to change shipping rates, I'll try to keep updating shipping charges listed here. If not shown, feel free to message me and I'll get right back to you with a quote.

:-) Please read shop policies prior to purchasing. :-)
