20 years ago I left my life in the city for the mountains of Pennsylvania. What I found when I arrived was a well kept secret amongst the coal region locals. The tradition of Boilo varies from family to family, each developing their own form of holiday perfection.

From the beginning of September through the bitter days of winter, boilo adds a bright touch of joy to the dark months of the year.
