Inspired by my own two sons
It all started with a birthday. When my three year old struggled to process their older siblings birthday – being born in the same month – I found myself thinking of ways to help them understand their world. I tried putting myself in their shoes – they couldn't read, but loved colouring, and loved visual cues that helped handle transitions. I madea birthday countdown calendar and put it up on the fridge. When I saw the look on their face – and later the reaction of other parents and friends who also saw it, I thought this was something other children would enjoy too. They are older now, but even still love having their bithday countdown calendar years later.
All the items are products I have made for my own children – things to help them understand their world, to develop and have fun, and live successfully in their world. Items are also tested in a wider, more demanding audience – that of Primary School children that are friends of my children.
All items are made/assembled by hand. The packaging may look more than just an amateur; I credit that long-ago job as a 16 year old doing graphic design. I care a lot about quality and good production, but hand-made items do occasionally result in the rare blemish. If anything is wrong with your order, I am happy to replace or fix as best as possible.
