Privacy Policy

This policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share your information when you buy from my shop, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.

This policy does not cover the practices of third parties I do not own or control, including Etsy itself. See the Etsy Privacy Policy for how Etsy handles your information.

Information I collect
To fulfil your order, you provide me with certain information, which you have authorised Etsy to share with me. This includes your name, email address, postal address, and the details of the item you ordered. If you contact me directly, you may choose to give me additional information.

Why I need it and how I use it
I rely on several legal bases to collect, use, and share your information:
As needed to provide my services, such as fulfilling your order, resolving disputes, and answering your questions.
Where you have given consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Where necessary to meet a legal obligation, such as keeping records required by tax law.
Where necessary for my legitimate interests, provided those interests do not override your rights, such as improving my service and meeting my obligations under Etsy's Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Who I share it with
I share your information only in limited circumstances:
Etsy, as needed to provide my services and meet my obligations under Etsy's Seller Policy and Terms of Use.
Service providers. I work with production and fulfilment partners who make and ship your order, and with the carriers who deliver it. They receive only what they need to complete the job.
Legal compliance. I may share information where I reasonably believe it is necessary to respond to a legal request, enforce my terms, prevent fraud, or protect the safety of my customers and others.
I do not sell, rent, or trade your information.

How long I keep it
I keep your information only as long as needed to provide my services, and longer where required to meet legal, tax, or regulatory obligations, or to resolve disputes. In general I keep order data for 4 years.

Transfers outside the European Union
I am based in Israel and my items are produced and dispatched in the United States. If you order from the EU or the UK, your information will be transferred outside that region. Israel has been recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection. For processing carried out in the United States, I rely on the standard safeguards permitted under EU data protection law.

Your rights
If you are in the EU, the UK, or another region with similar laws, you have rights over your information:
Access. You can ask for a copy of the information I hold about you.
Change, restrict, or delete. You can ask me to correct it, limit how I use it, or delete it. I will delete it on request unless I am required to keep it.
Object. You can object to my use of your information based on legitimate interests, and to receiving marketing messages.
Complain. You can raise a concern with your local data protection authority.

How to contact me
For the purposes of EU data protection law, I, Yuval Barak, am the data controller of your personal information. Message me through Etsy, or email yuval@covanion.com
