Every space in a home needs at least one vintage piece to create a harmonious vibe!
In 2013 I found myself, along with my now-husband, looking to furnish our first home together. I knew since we wouldn't be able to afford all brand new home goods, I would need to stretch my dollar. I began scouring secondhand shops, garage sales, estate sales, thrift stores, and consignment shops. There were so many good items to be had! I knew I would not be able to keep all the beautiful items I found for myself, simply because I would run out of room. I decided to list my first item on Etsy, after doing my research on where I could market my finds. The search for vintage goods continually inspires me and adapts my style vision. It occurred to me that so many home decor items found in retail stores today have been made in imitation of actual vintage goods. This is not a new idea, I know, but it had dawned on me once I started my vintage search. I thought to myself that I would much rather have home decor pieces with history to them, than something that was mass produced. Personally, I love having items collected in my home, that I know have already withstood the test of time. Not only that, but it gives me satisfaction knowing that I was able to support local small businesses in the process of buying and selling vintage goods. Please know, that each piece I buy I carefully consider if it is something that I would love to have in my own home. If the answer is yes, then that item goes home with me, and eventually makes its way to my shop. My goal for my shop is to provide buyers with high quality vintage home goods which will add a special, uniquely defined touch to their homes!
