♥ Push Button Hoop: Uncoil your hoop and let it "breathe" on a flat surface for a few hours (this helps relax the plastic after shipping as a tight coil). Insert the male push button end into the female end. If it is a tight fit try twisting and pushing at the same time. You can also apply a dab of coconut oil! The push button will emerge through the hole visible in the female end.
♥ Coiled / Friction Fit: If the hoop is warmed it is easier to connect the coiled hoops. Sunlight for 30 minutes or 30 seconds of a hair dryer will help to warm the plastic. Hair dryer works!

3/4" PE "beginner" hoops come in three different styles:
♥ Push button - Your hoop comes with a push button so it can be opened up and coiled small for travel/transport.
♥ Collapsible - Available on sizes 36" and up! These are also called "infinity travel hoops" because they fold down like a windshield cover into a figure 8 then down again into a small circle 1/4 its original size. So a 40" hoop will shrink down into 2 20" circles which are connected by rotating connection points.
♥ Coiled hoops - This style of hoop is a single piece of tubing with a barbed fitting. Once it arrives you assemble the hoop (instructions included on receipt) and then it will become a full size hoop that cannot be taken apart or made small

♥ PE 1/2" 125 psi: weighs a little less than a pound for 40". Similar size to store-bought hula hoops. Thickness: 3/4", (like your thumb/nickel)
♥ PE 3/4" 100 psi: weighs around 1.25 pounds for 40". Thicker than store-bought hula hoops. Thickness: 1.1", (like your big toe/quarter)
♥ PE 3/4" 160 psi: weighs around 1.6 pounds for 40". Thicker than store-bought hula hoops. Thickness: 1.25" (a little larger than your big toe/50 cent piece)
♥ HDPE or Polypro 1/2": weighs around .5lb for a 33" Thickness: 1/2", (like a pencil/pinky)
♥ HDPE or Polypro 5/8": weighs around .6 for a 33" Thickness: 5/8", (like a dime/index finger)
♥ HDPE or Polypro 3/4": weighs around .75 for a 33" Thickness: 3/4" (like a nickel/thumb)

♥ We measure our hoops with OD (Outer Diameter). To calculate OD with a specific ID (Inner Diameter) in mind, simply add the thickness of the tubing you are getting x 2 to the tubing diameter.
♥ So if you want a 30" ID 3/4" thick HDPE hoop, you will add 3/4" x 2 = 1.5" to your 30" ID. 30" + 1.5" = 31.5"
♥ If the listing only shows 31" or 32" just make a comment you'd like a specific half size so the hoop is a perfect fit!
