Modern Magical Jewelry
I've never been one to let the grass grow under my feet. When I was in grade school, a teacher declared to my mother: "Dani does two things at once, and she does both extremely well." I would guess that's why, when I graduated from Iowa State with a degree in graphic design and began my career in design and photography, it didn't seem like enough to keep me busy.
Fashion and accessories have always interested me, and I've put together my own pieces since childhood. After graduating college, I loved to shop and follow trends, but bemoaned the high price and low quality of pieces I found in department stores and malls. When my best friend's wedding came around in 2009, I made my first ever batch of feather hair clips. They were well-received, but I wasn't sure where to take my new-found interest in making.
Later that fall, friends founded Market Day Iowa, an indie craft show that ran for 12 years until COVID closed our doors in 2020. After checking out the scene, I decided I wanted in on that handmade action. I started making more and more refined versions of my feather accessories, focusing on quality, precision, and an accessible price point. As time went by, I expanded into mixed metal jewelry, then gemstones, crystals, and geometric pieces, always striving to create pieces for the modern, stylish person on a budget!
