I love wool

I realized my Polypay sheep are producing way more wool than I can use so I've decided to try selling it. You can find my wool for sale at the Durango Farmer's Market or here on Etsy!

The Polypay sheep was developed from four existing breeds: Finnsheep, Rambouillet, Targhee (a cross of Rambouillet, Lincoln, and Corriedale) and Dorset. The breed was established in 1970 and named in 1975 from poly, meaning multiple, and pay, meaning return on labor and investment. Their motto is "Tomorrow's Sheep Today" (catchy, isn't it!) . They are remarkable for their fine wool, multiple births, quick growth and excellent meat. Our girls have lived up to these standards and usually give birth to twins and even triplets in the spring!
