I have always felt the inner pull to make things. I always have a project and another idea in my head.
I love my family and the first time I saw something with names on a piece of jewelry I knew I had to have one with my family's names, what a meaningful and special thing to be able to write on a treasured piece for someone to wear close to them. I knew I found what I wanted to do.
It took me a long time but I feel this craft was just waiting for me at the right time. I raised my family and it was time for me to pursue my dream. So I took the plunge, it wasn't easy, lots of failures and experiments, and putting yourself out there was a real leap of faith.
Words have always been important to me, i'm a life long reader, always have a book and it has been such a pleasure to be able to go somewhere in my mind when reading, never a strong student I credit everything I know to reading. Literary quotes find their way in much of my jewelry. Music has been a constant companion and I use a lot of song lyrics as well.
Growing up in a beach town with a boardwalk has given me an entrepreneurial spirit. When I was young I would sell shells on the boardwalk, now I do art shows. Always remembering the motto I learned long ago, "the customer is always right" I will go out of my way to make your piece as you envision it. It may take many conversations between us, but i'll do my best to fulfill your vision. I understand that this is a special piece and i'm always honored to make something special for you.
